History of the Manufacturing Cooperative in \u017debr\u00e1k<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>

\nThe West Bohemian Autocompany in Plze\u0148 establishes a branch in \u017debr\u00e1k, producing scooters, bicycle trailers, postal carts, and other metal products.<\/div><\/div><\/div>

\n“July 1, 1951 \u2013 self-contained: The ‘District Metal Cooperative ( Company ) in Ho\u0159ovice’ is established in \u017debr\u00e1k and begins operating independently.”<\/div><\/div><\/div>

\n“Four branches: Headquarters in \u017debr\u00e1k (Branch 01) with 48 members, Jince (Branch 02) with 5 members, Kom\u00e1rov (Branch 03) with 11 members, and the newly established Vr\u0148ata Smithy as Branch 04 in Cerhovice.”<\/div><\/div><\/div>

\n“The number of members increases, the range of products expands, and profits grow. The cooperative incorporates the plant in Osov, a chromium plating facility in Beroun, and a repair shop and chromium plating facility in Prague. By the end of the year, the cooperative employs 188 workers and 107 technical and administrative staff (‘THP’ employees).”<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Celebration of 30 Years Since the Founding of the Cooperative (Company)
\nA chronicle has been published in honor of its history. The cooperative operates a total of eight plants:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \u017dEBR\u00c1K \u2013 Main program: Children’s wheelbarrow “BLESK II,” walker “Pavou\u010dek,” hot water boiler K\u017d 4.<\/li>\n
  2. JINCE \u2013 Main program: electrical components.<\/li>\n
  3. KOM\u00c1ROV \u2013 Production of diesel pumps, oil coolers, and additional programs.<\/li>\n
  4. CERHOVICE \u2013 Forging and hot metal pressing.<\/li>\n
  5. \u017dEBR\u00c1K \u2013 Focused on heating systems.<\/li>\n
  6. BROUMY \u2013 This facility specializes in carpentry work and, although not part of metal processing, serves to maintain company cottages, facilities, and the construction and residential equipment for the local population.<\/li>\n
  7. HOSTOMICE \u2013 Production program: axles and complete steering wheels for DESTA forklifts.<\/li>\n
  8. CERHOVICE \u2013 Production of manual transport carts “RAPID” and “POPUL\u00c1R,” including a semi-automatic painting line.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    Transformation, the cooperative (company) is consolidating production into three facilities: two in \u017debr\u00e1k and one in nearby Cerhovice. The Cerhovice facility specializes in hanging and mass galvanizing.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    The most well-known products are two-wheeled manual carts, which account for 20% of total production, as well as children’s scooters and tricycles. The product range is complemented by metal dispensers for toilet paper and hand towels.
    \nThe cooperative(company) also operates as a subcontractor. Its largest customers in cooperative services are Czech companies specializing in the supply of electromechanical components. For these companies, the cooperative manufactures cable trays, including accessories for industrial electrical substations, as well as components for tram and trolleybus traction lines.
    \nExports to Sweden, Slovakia, Hungary, and Germany represent approximately 12% of total turnover.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    One Production Plant, One Headquarters in \u017debr\u00e1k
    \nThe cooperative has centralized operations at a single production plant and headquarters in \u017debr\u00e1k. Modernization efforts include the implementation of the new Helios Orange iNuvio information system, integration of all corporate processes, reengineering of existing technological procedures, and optimization of production efficiency. Additionally, new company websites have been developed, and an e-shop has been launched.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
